The ‘Kings Yellow’ colour is derived from an arsenic based yellow which was the brightest possible yellow in the eighteenth century. It was an attempt to create a primary yellow with the limited materials available. For this mirror frame we have replaced the arsenic with other historic and modern yellow pigments and used a grey infused mirror plate.
